Weekly Ruminature

St. Regis Pond, Adirondacks, 2010.

“Keep close to Nature’s heart… and break clear away once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.”
—John Muir

[This is my new weekly feature—and read the puns in the name whatever way you will. I wanted to add this to balance out my questionings on this blog, because when I am in nature, I am very, very sure that everything is, and will always be, just as it should be.”]

About stacy

I am a writer, author, mother, former magazine editor (last at Redbook), optimist, and, above all, a searcher. I'm still searching for whom I'm really meant to be, after a series of very jarring losses. Since then I've been trying to figure out what's next. Or, in other words, how to fill in the blanks.

That picture! Looking at it, I feel the same certainty. Thank you. xo

  2. I love the play on words (multiple!), and look forward to this weekly feature. With its inaugural photo, you’ve even incorporated one of your dream locales, if I remember…

Breaking clear of nature, in order to break it open and expand it?
